　　Buffer roller is used to slow down the impact of falling material on the belt when the belt conveyor is fed. It is mainly designed for the corrosive environment of coal washing plant, coking plant and chemical plant. Its toughness is more than 10 times of ordinary metal, and its life is five times of that of traditional column shoes, and it is resistant to corrosion and flame retardant, antistatic and light weight, It is widely used in mining. The special polymer material for roller body has good wear resistance and good self-lubricating property and no damage to the belt. The anti-corrosion performance of buffer roller is superior. The roller body and seal are made of high polymer materials, and are corrosion resistant. In corrosive occasions, the service life can reach more than 5 times of ordinary idler.

　　The buffer roller is light in weight and has small rotation inertia. The special polymer material for idler is light weight and the specific gravity is one seventh of steel. The roller made of this material is about one-half of the ordinary idler, and the rotation inertia is small, and the friction between the idler and the belt is small.

　　The buffer roller is installed under the conveyor receiving section to reduce the impact of material on the conveyor belt during the feeding to extend the service life of the conveyor belt. The spacing between the buffer roller is generally 100-600 mm.
