It has the characteristics of toughness more than 10 times of ordinary metal, service life five times of traditional column shoes, corrosion resistance, flame retardant, antistatic, light weight, etc, It is widely used in mining. The roller body is made of high molecular material. Its mechanical properties are similar to bronze. It has good wear resistance, good self-lubricating property and no belt damage. The anti-corrosion performance of buffer idler is superior. The roller body and seal are made of high polymer material, which is corrosion resistant. It can be used in corrosive situation, and its service life can reach more than 5 times of ordinary idler.

　　The buffer idler has light weight and small rotation inertia. The weight of special high molecular material for idler is light, and the specific gravity is one seventh of that of steel. The weight of idler made of this material is about one half of that of ordinary idler, and the rotation inertia is small, and the friction between idler and belt is small.

　　The buffer idler is installed under the material receiving section of the conveyor to reduce the impact of the material on the conveyor belt during blanking, so as to extend the service life of the conveyor belt. The spacing of the buffer idler is generally 100-600mm.
